ERROR ITMS-90129: "The bundle uses a bundle name or display name associated with an Apple app."

When I use Application Loader v3.0 upload a new app, I got this error.

The bundle display name of my app is "Connect", does this mean I have to change it to another display name?

But I have already seen many apps their icon title is "Connect" on AppStore, why? When did this rule start?

Yes, another name.

Accepted Answer

Yes, another name.

Thanks KMT!

BTW, anyone knows when did this rule take effect? Since I found there is already some apps named "Connect" on AppStore...

Don't think it's new... Apple has been protecting it's product names for many decades now.

Perhaps if you gave the name of a 3rd party app you think is in violation in the store, someone could confirm, etc.
