Xcode 13.2.1 with Big Sur 11.7.5 - Preview and Playground Issue

Since updating to Big Sur 11.7.5 I am unable to preview any Views or run the Playground both continue to create Crash Reports until Xcode is stopped. The Preview panel remains blank or the Playground never runs.

Crash Report attached below which indicates that the update has moved a Library called AddressBook and Xcode can no longer locate it.

Can't you update to more recent versions of Xcode and MacOS ?

  • Unfortunately my iMac is too old (2014) and these are the latest versions I can run. Time to either move to the MacBook Pro or buy a new iMac.

If you need to stay on those versions you could also try reinstalling Xcode. It looks like possible the code signature of one of the simulator runtimes is invalid.

  • Thank you for your help, tried that made no difference. I think the time to upgrade is here, look out wallet !!
