I had an Apple Developer Account that expired in 2011.
When I try to download an old version of Xcode (immediate prior version 14.2 as I am still running OS X 12), I am always redirected to my account page and asked to renew.
This represents an apparent bug on Apple's end with no way for the end user to resolve other than paying $99.
Has anyone else seen this or have a contact inside Apple who can fix this?
Steps to reproduce:
- Visit https://developer.apple.com/xcode/resources/
- Observe that it says "Get command line tools and older versions of Xcode. To view downloads, simply sign in with your Apple ID. Apple Developer Program membership isn't required."
- Click link "View additional downloads", which links to https://developer.apple.com/download/all/?q=xcode
- I am redirected to https://developer.apple.com/account and given the message:
"Your Apple Developer Program membership has expired.
Renew your membership to continue accessing program benefits and services. Click below or renew in the Apple Developer app, with support for many local currencies and payment methods. Open the Apple Developer app on iPhone, iPad, or Mac. Sign in to your account, tap/click Renew, and follow the prompts."
