Which symbols are valid for App Store descriptions?

Our legal team wants to use the dagger (†) and double dagger (⧧) for disclosures within the App Store description, but those symbols are rejected as invalid. Is there a list of valid characters that we could reference to select alternatives?

I believe it's more or less just ASCII, plus accented characters for non-English, and maybe curly-quotes. I don't think you'll find a good substitute for those dagger characters.

Is your legal team aware that their disclaimer won't actually be shown, as the description is truncated?

Thanks for the reply. I checked into the ASCII character set and noticed some extended ASCII codes are valid and others are not. From what I can tell the set more closely matches the Mac Roman character encoding. I was able to get the † from that set to work!
