In my brainteaser app, I want to grant users a discount on the premium upgrade when they share their results to social media. Is anyone aware of any popular apps that contain a similar reward mechanism? Is there any chance that implementing this feature will result in my app being removed?

I've also considered including a supplementary game of chance which rewards users with a further discount. No money would be wagered, but the reward has real world value, so I'm wondering whether this would fall foul of the Store's policies against gambling.

Any insights would be appreciated.

You should read carefully the guidelines: 3.2.2 Unacceptable (vi)

Apps should allow a user to get what they’ve paid for without performing additional tasks, such as posting on social media

So, yes, I think you have a risk to see your app rejected.

I cannot foresee what reviewer will decide. But that should be a point of attention.

If you think you are compliant, I would suggest that you ad a comment to the reviewer when you submit the app, to explain in detail why the app comples with 3.2.2 (vi).

That will show your good faith and help for a positive outcome.
