screen sharing almost unusable

since about 10.12.4 b5 i have found screensharing to a desktop without a beta version to be almost unusable, slow, and then locking up, causing lag when trying to come back to the beta machine too...... especially bad when trying to control more intesvive apps or even just VLC...... anyone else with this or if not any suggestions to fix it?

thanks

After install of latest DP8, Screensharing works like expected, without any Problems.

try with latest Beta and Remote Desktop Client 3.9 Update..

thanks for that reply.

i did indeed need to update the remote desktop client on the remote machine yet this did not sort out te issues with screen sharing (i am already on beta 8).

it does though, seem to allow normal service when using apple remote desktop application instead (this was also unusuable before the rdc update).

thanks

actually spoke too soon..... with a full screen video on remote machine the lag is 20- 30 seconds or more.....

sigh

you should check your local network speed, and try to change the screensharing-settings to lower quality, if your connection is slow....

i dont know, if fullscreen Video is an approbiate tool to watch Videos from a remote Machine....

oh sorry i wasn't that clear, im often using the main desktop machine to project video and am controling it on a laptop, yet since the last three betas, and it seems the 10.2.4 release i am still finding screen sharing (and remote desktop) to be far less responsive and at times unusable. as this happens it does seem to translate back to the controlling machine, with apple-tab not working till whatever is happening has worked it's way through. ive not noticed any undue load in acrtivity monitor and its basically breaking a long in use work flow. the desktop is the workhorse here and i am often jumping between machines.

i have started using team viewer as a work around in the past few days yet its a horrid experience compared to apple built in.

there doesn't seem to be anyone else with these issues so im wondering what i can do to reset this?

hmmmmmmmm

as reference i have popped a different drive in the macbookpro with an earlier 10.12. iteration and then screensharing (to a 10.12.4 desltop), and it is fast as chips and fuly functional, so it's the last couple of beta's and the master causing my issues..

and as a further test (to destruction) i updated this older system (from 10.12.3) and straight away screen sharing has become unresponsive both in the native and remote desktop versions of the app...... so somewhere in the 3-4 beta of 10.12.4 screen sharing for this older macbookpro late 2011 17 has broken

i experiemnted by replacing the 10.12.4 remote apps from within the system library coreservices folder with versions from 10.12.3,

yet this did not make any difference.

i then tried replacing the entire RemoteManagement folder and its contents with a version from 10.12.3.

this did not work either.

so i have for now revereted to a complete 10.12.3 system and now screen sharing is working as expected.

am i the only one with this isue?

thanks

i guess i forgot the pain, but i installed the latest 10.12.6 beta asuming the screen sharing issue i had was resolved, yet it is almost as bad as before.

i am assuming its an uncomon conflict as this thread is bare with responses...... anyone? anything?
