Anybody know how I can contact engineering directly. I've been requested too do tasks via the bug reporter but there is far too much information and could really do with direct contact. Thank you very much.

Depends on the reason, I think.
You can burn a support ticket w/DTS via the Member Center, but that channel is for code level support that the engrs. can deal with case/by/case. Don't expect to open a direct casual conversation with them otherwise. Maybe if you can talk about your issue, you might get lucky enough to chat here.
WWDC is a good place for open conversation during the labs, tho...
