Hi

My app was work fine since 2023 till i uploaded new update on april 2024 i got rejected due to Guideline 4.3(a) and since that i have made a lot of changes but still getting me that.

below message what they have keep

Guideline 4.3(a) - Design - Spam

This app duplicates the content and functionality of other apps on the App Store, which is considered a form of spam.

Specifically, this app is available in the same locations as another identical app you submitted to the App Store.

Apps that duplicate content or functionality create clutter, diminish the overall experience for the end user, and reduce the ability of developers to market their apps.

Next Steps

It would be appropriate to restrict the available storefronts for these apps and ensure none of the selected storefronts overlap. Restrict storefronts by selecting "None" on Country or Region Availability in App Store Connect and then select the desired countries or regions. Some factors that contribute to a spam rejection may include:

  • Submitting an app with the same source code or assets as other apps already submitted to the App Store
  • Creating and submitting multiple similar apps using a repackaged app template
  • Purchasing an app template with problematic code from a third party
  • Submitting several similar apps across multiple accounts.

i have add appeal and submit evidence that my app is unique but still not.

Hi,

You will need to follow up with AppReview but if you can identify the app they say is identical you can explain what is different about your app.

Welcome to the forum.

Specifically, this app is available in the same locations as another identical app you submitted to the App Store.

That's whet the reviewer has detected (and may be several reviewers as you explain that this lasts for 5 months). Is it the case ? Do you see what is the other app the reviewer has in mind ?

 

i have made a lot of changes but still getting me that.

What type of changes ? If it is only the look but the functionality and content are very similar, that will not solve the issue.

If the changes are significant, then you should clearly and convincingly explain it in the comments to reviewer in the Appstore Connect submission form. It is then a good practice to explain also in the other app, next time you will update it.

Is it unique or does it have unique features compared to the other app ? It is crucial to be clear and straightforward when giving information to reviewers and not pretend what would obviously not be the case (app uniqueness)
