In the iOS 18 beta, if there are two Enterprise Apps with the same D-U-N-S number, one of the apps will not run.

I am a developer working on iOS apps.
I would like to report an issue occurring in iOS 18 beta and iOS 18.1 beta.

Our company has two Enterprise accounts, and we are developing two apps:

  1. A app / TeamId: ABCDEFG
  2. B app / TeamId: HIJKLMN

When we distribute these apps, which have different TeamIds, and install them on a device running iOS 18 beta, both apps install successfully, but only one app will run.
(Other app crashed immediately after being launched.)

This issue does not occur on versions prior to iOS 18. I would like to know if this is a problem that will be resolved in future updates, or if it is a policy change.

I've been working with Quinn behind the scenes on this one. This issue affects a limited number of developers, and we are able to identify those affected. For those affected, we emailed your team members with the Account Holder or Admin role with instructions to follow. Once you’ve followed everything in that email and distribute updated builds, you will no longer experience these crashes.

Does this generate a crash report? If so, please post it here. See Posting a Crash Report for advice on how to do that.

Thanks for those logs, but I’m actually looking for a crash report. Do you get one? If so, please post it here.

I'm attaching the crash log when running the app after the official iOS 18 version update. I'm also attaching the log printed on the console when running the app.

Yikes! I misunderstood your earlier posts and thought it was your app that was crashing, but this shows a crash in lockdownd. That’s an internal component of iOS that should never crash. I recommend that you file a bug about. Make sure to include a sysdiagnose taken shortly after reproducing the problem.

Please post your bug number, just for the record.

Hello,
I have uploaded the sysdiagnose and video in the Feedback.
Please check. Thank you!

Bug number: FB15184572

We also encountered this problem. Has it been solved? Or the future can solve it? Thx!

FB15184572

Thanks for filing that.

Has it been solved?

No.

I don’t have the full story here, but I can say that DTS has seen reports like this in other contexts.

I’m going to repeat my advice from earlier: If you’re having problems like this, please file a bug about it. Make sure to include a sysdiagnose taken shortly after reproducing the problem. And I’d appreciate you posting your bug number, just for the record.

@DTS Engineer, @Finalno9

This issue has not been resolved yet. I have submitted additional materials, including a sysdiagnose log, the IPA files that reproduce the issue, and a reproduction video.

Please check. Thank you!

Right. That gels with my understanding of things from this side.

Thanks for adding all that extra info.

I don’t have much info to share right now, but I will say that we’re pretty sure that this is an issue at our end rather than, say, a build problem with your apps or a configuration problem with the device.

We've encountered same question, is there any further progress? Please fix this OS bug. Thx!

However, we are unable to send a reply to the provided email address.(Remote host said: 550 5.1.1 unknown or illegal alias)

@gyumin, are you responding directly to the email you received, or are you clicking the link for contacting support?

The APP packaged with the enterprise certificate also experienced a flashback phenomenon under the ios18 system. Can you contact me to inform me of the handling method?

I hava the same problem too, Can you tell me the solution?

@HeYingJian and @snowman007, if your apps are affected by this very specific issue, the Account Holder and Admin members of your organization (as defined by your Apple Developer Account) received the email. If they didn't, then your apps aren't affected, and the crashes you are seeing are due to some other factor, and you should look for a crash report to start debugging those issues.

—Ed Ford,  DTS Engineer

@gyumin, I'm responding again to your comment:

However, we are unable to send a reply to the provided email address.(Remote host said: 550 5.1.1 unknown or illegal alias)

I got more clarity today on what happened there, and clearly, there was an error in the email preventing you from contacting us, as you found. Please follow-up with Apple Developer Program support for your account and mention that email, and they will be able to take it from there for you.

—Ed Ford,  DTS Engineer

can you tell us how did you solve this problem

How can I recover a device that has already had a problem? After uninstalling them all, installing an app also crashes

I did encounter this same problem, but we did not received any email, can you public the solution, or send email to me , thanks.

In the iOS 18 beta, if there are two Enterprise Apps with the same D-U-N-S number, one of the apps will not run.
