Hi,

I would like to learn Swift and iOS and develop apps for my own devices.

I am not currently interested in putting apps in the AppStore.

Is there a way I can install apps that I create on my own devices without having them removed in a week or year when an account or cert. expires?

At a future time I may want to sell my apps, but that is a long way off..

And, if I were to pay (one time) the $99/year developer fee, would the apps that I create and install on my devices with XCode continue to work after the year is up?

No. All apps/installs are done with profiles that eventually expire.
