My MacBook Pro M2 is fast running out of space. The system data is currently 260 Gb. I'm using macOS Sequoia Beta 15.2. All my other data files are in total about 100Gb. I have already deleted cache files. I have also reinstalled the OS software. What else can I do to get my storage space back
Shrinking Disk Space
We appreciate your interest in participating in the forums! These forums are for questions about developing software and accessories for Apple platforms. Your question seems related to a consumer feature and is better suited for the Apple Support Communities
A free program such as Grand Perspective or OmniDiskSweeper will show you exactly what is filling your disk . That may help you solve your problem.
In my case I discovered files from other software I no longer use, such as Garmin maps, take considerable space.
I also discovered that Photos System Diagnostics files take nearly 4 GB each. Since I have submitted many bug reports, these take a large fraction of my user space. I think, but do not really know, that these files are automatically deleted after a time. In this case, waiting and not submitting more bug reports should reduce this use of your user space.
Since members of the developer community probably submit many bug reports, understanding this use of user space seems not entirely off topic for this forum.
