Removing auto-renewable in-app subscription from sale

We have to remove from sale some of our In-App Purchase products.


All these in-app products we have to remove are auto-renewable subscriptions and already have users whose purchased it.

We have monthly and yearly subscribers, depending of the product they subscribed to.


I’d like to know what happens when we remove these in-app products from sale?

More specifically, how Apple communicates the change for the users whose subscribed to the removed in-app purchase?

Do you send them an e-mail? When this e-mail is sent (in the moment we remove the product from sale or when the end of the user’s subscription is approaching)?

I believe that nothing is sent. Specifically, a renewal notification is not sent a few days before autorenewal would have been scheduled. Note that in any event it would be inappropriate to send anythng before then because you could uncheck 'removed from sale' shortly before that time.

Did you find out how it works? Will subscripbers be notified?
