Apple Market Research email? Phish attempt?

Anyone else receive an email with the subject "Tell us about your experience marketing and distributing apps for Apple platforms." It was sent to my personal email account rather than my developer email address so I'm wondering if this a scam/phish email attempt sent from a hacker. It's from MarketResearch@InsideApple.Apple.com

I'm not clicking the survey link in the email unless I know it's safe... 😐

It looked legit to me.

I'd love to take the survey, but for safety's sake, I'm going to pass. Here's why:

#1 There's no way that email is connected to my developer account, so that alone is a HUGE red flag.

#2 I found there's an abundance of people on the internet regularly questioning that domain. It may be legit, but there's enough chatter to give me pause.

My suggestion to Apple is to refer to the survey within the developer portal.

>There's no way that email is connected to my developer account

Way - as your iTunes, and Apple Store, accounts are typically in the mix when hired consultants (not apple) do these surveys.

>My suggestion to Apple is

Can't see that being an improvment, but feel free to file a feature request via the bug reporter, just keep in mind, again, Apple hires these out, for a reason, so...

As for legit, I think the email is - problem I have is that the consulting firm sniffing around is more about broad marketing than improving the singular dev experience, so while I condone feedback directly to Apple, those marketing wonks can do their own work, without my help, or pay me for my time and information, after all, Apple pays them for the same things.
