I am creating a new app and getting this error, "The app name you entered is already being used", even though I searched on App Store and no such app exists, moreover I have trademark rights for this name. Can someone please help me in this regard?

Maybe check and see if you have already registered the name you're trying to use with your personal account. If so, you'll need to contact Apple Developer Programs for help moving it over to your developer account.

No, haven't registered the app anywhere yet. Left them a message, how much time do they take to respond to such issues?

I'm not sure what they'll be able to do if the name is already registered to another developer's account. They won't be able share any details or private information about another developer's account with you if the name is already taken by someone else.

Though your comments about the uniqueness of your name suggest there maybe some additional scrounging around might be worthwhile. Try logging in to developer.apple.com using your personal account and check if the name is registered to your personal account. Possibly it it got inadvertently registered to your personal account while you were setting things up?
