Test Flight not processing Build

Hi,

I have uploaded a new beta Build to test flight.

I can see it in the Builds Tab in iTunes connect.

Its status is currently "Uploaded" and has been for the last 3 hours.

Normally it quickly changes from uplaoded to processing.

Anyone else experiencing this?

Regards,

Phil Bevan

I think something is up with Testflight as of yesterday. I've been getting all sorts of errors about it being unavailable. Also, one weird thing I noticed was an app I uploaded yesterday showed "Created" where it usually shows up as "Uploaded" and then "Processing" shortly after that. It stayed "Created" for quite awhile, and then showed up in the list to submit for review. So it was in both places, and stayed that way. Today I sent a new update and it cleared the old version out and the processing of the new build happened quickly like normal. Unfortunately I keep getting an error on my iPhone saying Testflight is unavailable. So I can't install it.

Something similar today. Uploaded new builds x3. For the second and third ones, it shows in the "Processing" section as "Uploaded" for about a minute, after which refreshing the page again shows the build... gone. Not under "Processing", nor available as a new build to release to TestFlight testing. For the first one, I never saw it in the "Processing" stage but suspect I may just have been slower getting to iTunes Connect and it had already disappered.

Unclear what is happening here, but it's frustrating. Can't find a way to get insight into whether these builds are gone forever, or whether they might re-appear after some post-"Processing" processing has completed.

I am experiencing this as well as of yesterday. Uploaded two builds, both have been processing for almost 20 hours now. Last approved build keeps alerting that "TestFlight is unavailable." when installation is attempted. Very frustrating.

Followup on my experience. It appears that these builds may have been rejected by iTunes Connect in some fashion during the processing stage, though without providing any error message or feedback. The builds in question were uploaded with Xcode 7 beta 5, which I understood was now supported for uploading builds for internal TestFlight testers on iOS 9.

In this case, there was no iOS 9-specfic code in the app—it was just that we were testing on iOS 9 beta devices. It transpired that uploading a build from Xcode 6.4 worked fine, and it could then be deployed to iOS 9 beta devices via TestFlight.

This clearly seems like a bug in iTunes Connect. It is not rejecting submission of a build from Xcode 7 beta 5, which would have happened previously—both validation and the initial upload to processing status work and appear on the iTunes Connect website—so the initial work to implement appears to have been done. But at some point in the iTunes Connect post-upload processing, the build is deleted/rejected/hidden from the end developer currently.

Further update. All of my previous submissions from Xcode 7 beta re-appeared in "Processing" today, and subsequently appeared in the available builds (though they had been superseeded). A build submitted today from Xcode 7 beta 5 was processed, appeared as a usable build and was successfully dispatched to TestFlight testers—with a new banner message appearing in iTunes Connect stating, "External testing is not supported for builds that have been created with a beta version of Xcode, OS X, or iOS."

So Xcode 7 beta 5 submission is definitely now working, for internal testing, as promised.

Been having this issue for 2 days. Builds stuck in Processing.

I called iTunesConnect and they said they would look into it. They asked for screenshots (?). A senior advisor was assigned.

I looked at a StackOverflow question and it mentioned going to Internal Testers and making a change and going back. This seemed to unlock the queue for some of my builds.

That was last night. Today, my builds are now stuck on Uploaded - don't even get to Processing.

Got disconnected from support...over the past two days have got 0 useful information from Apple.

No messages here except "Potential Loss of Keychain Access", which is a warning message that occurs every time the application identifier prefix changes.

Nothing in junk mail folders.

Have tried disabling bitcode.

My apps do not use App Thinning, and have not changed substantially since the last uploads.

Same behavior regardless of uploading through Xcode or the Application Loaded.

Same behavior from multiple networks.

The past couple days, I have been unable to complete the upload at all. It pauses for a long time "Verifying Application Assets", then fails with the message "The session's status is FAILED and the error description is 'failed to open ssh session. (16)."

This appears to be an Apple side problem for a large number of people. I have half a dozen builds, all for the same version and build number, all displaying "Processing" now for many days. Now builds are just displaying "Created" when the SSH session fails as described above.

In the new Resource and Help section of iTunes Connect, there is this statement. I suggest every developer who is having this problem contact Apple as indicated until app submissions are back to where they were before the past couple weeks.

Why is my build Processing and how long can it take?

Before you can use a build on iTunes Connect, it must be processed. If you’ve successfully uploaded a build and it’s in the Processing state for more than 24 hours, there may be an issue with it. To resolve the issue, contact us.
