Apple Pencil connectivity issues with iOS 11 Beta 1

I‘m having issues connecting the pencil to the iPad on iOS 11 beta 1. It is trying to connect to bluetooth but keeps disconnecting.

Does anyone else have this issue?

MIke- I had a few issues with mine connecting at first, but once I did a “re-pairing” (placing pencil lighting connector into iPad) it connects quickly and reliably. Haven’t had any issues since. (I only mention the reconnect option in case you, like me, have had it working great and haven’t had to think about plugging it in for initial connection since receiving it). YMMV.

Mike,

I also am having this issue, but my pencil does not even show up in "My Devices" under "Bluetooth" in settings. Did you ever find a solution to your problem?

Jake

Jake,

Have you tried doing a hard reset to the device? I was having this issue and direct pairing was not working, either, but after a reset (hold down power and home button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo) I was able to pair normally.

Hope this helps!

Jeremy

I have same issue, can't connect to pencil while it is not on charge.

Hard reset does not help.

Any help?

same here, tried hard reset and other resets, tried forgetting the device and then reconnecting it, no luck anybody else having the same connection problems? I am on iOS 11 beta 1 on 9” iPad.

I'm also having problems with the Apple Pencil since I tested the beta of iOS 11, at first it was a slight delay but now it no longer detects it at all and I'm a little desperate, I work as an illustrator and the iPad is my main tool
