iPad Air 2 recharge doesn’t work

I've just noticed similar on an iPad Air (1). Thought it strange I was going down all day despite being plugged in for periods. Didn't try the shutdown after plugging in thing, but battery empty now anyway. now restoring via dfu to see if helps.

I have the same problem with my iPad Air (1). I did try plugging in after shutting down, at which point it immediately showed the apple logo and started booting up. When it finished booting, it was still not charging.

Along with this, I find that I'm unable to change the screen orientation by rotating the device. Using the switch on the side to lock/unlock orientation displays the typical overlay in the center, which then never goes away.

I also have a lot of lag, everything from entering my passcode to switching between apps is full of unexpected pauses.

Overall, I am very unimpressed by this first preview, at least on the iPad Air.:(

I, too, am having issues with my iPad Air (1). No longer recharges dispite using original cables. And I also had problems with orientation.

I tried normal power done cycle and I tried the hard reset (holding the power and home button down) and it still fails to recharge.

I'm having this charging issue even with iPad Pro 12.7". No lag but that's not surprising. The charging issue is quite concerning though.

Same problem here. Restored back to iOS 10.3.2 and the backup using iOS 11 was corrupted.

Also seeing this on an iPhone 7Plus with orginal charger. I can only charge using my iPad Pro (USBC Charger).

For whatever reason, charging is working fine now. Ironically, I’m using an Amazon Basics Lightning cable with an iPad charger. Funny.

I can not charge my iPad Air(1) anymore. The battery has completely discharged overnight and does not start anymore. It's just the recharge icon to see and nothing happens.

FWIW, mine successfully recharged when I plugged it into my MBP instead of just an adaptor. As soon as I plugged it in, I could immediately see it start to charge. After a few seconds (maybe a minute) it also seemed to "catch up" with a series of rotations I had done earlier while it was unresponsive. Now, after sitting plugged in all night, it seems fine.

Yep, same here. I took it into an Apple Repair shop and they are trying to figure it out. They did say they were charging it from an iMac and it was working.

Same this is happening to my iPad Mini 2

Was hoping Beta 2 would fix this issue. I have an AT&T iPad Air 2 that does not charge in beta 1 or beta 2. It is my dev iPad so it isn't a big deal except I can't really test my apps on the device. 😕

Having the same issue that you were experiencing using the original cables and no power recharging on my iPad Air 2. I did however plug into iTunes via the cable and my MacBook Pro and it is charging just fine. This is something Apple really needs to fix.
