I want to first say that I'm very well aware that this is dev beta 1, and frankly if anything works correctly that's awesome. I went through the list of things I use trying to determine what I could live without should/when the first beta breaks everything but forgot about the holy grail - TV!


Has anyone by chance found something that will allow the Directv Now app to launch?


With previous betas I've seen broken apps fixed with a new dev beta release even before the app developer releases a new version so I'll wait, it comes with the territory of wanting to play in the new sandbox early. I'm just curious if someone has found a "Left, A, Black, X, White, B, B, Up, X, A" method of getting it to launch.

Mine crashes as well. It's actually the only app so far that's just bombing every time.

My DIRECTV Now crashes also. Interestingly enough is that I also have PSVue for streaming live tv and that works fine.

Don't feel too bad, I'm in the same boat, but with TuneIn radio -- can't get my local broadcast radio (KEXP) fix

Wonder if it's something related to the ability to screen record? Like the app is doing a security check of sorts?

I can confirm as of today my DirecTV Now app crashes on launch as well =(


No workaround such as reinstallng the app etc?

MIne was working, but it crashes how. Apple News too.
