What action should be taken to remove the Untrusted warning? Is there a process other than the one in the settings?

My understanding is that if the app is insalled with an MDM system it is trusted automatically, but if it is installed "manually" (from a web site), the only way to trust it is through the settings app.
Correct.
- Apps installed as managed MDM installs will have the initial trust performed automatically.
- Any other in-house distribution method will require the manual acceptance by the user.
- Any form of in-house app will occasionally need to contact ppq.apple.com in order to validate the developer account.
