Slide Over & Split Screen Not Working

Got my 10.5" iPad Pro and upgraded to Beta 2, since my Air 2 iOS 11 backup was not backwards compatible.

Multi touch gestures and Safari split screen work, but the system does not respond to the slide over gesture.

I have rebooted and toggled the setting multiple times. Also Reset all Settings. But I cannot get it to work.

Does anybody else have this issue> Any ideas on what else to try?

There are more than 200 applications on this thing and I really do not want to set up and organize from scratch...

Now it just works. Dragging from the dock kickstarted it.

I'm no longer able have any type of split screen on my 10.5 iPad Pro.

I can't swipe up to drag another app for split view, all I get is control centre, everything worked fine in beta 1

This happened to me and I just restarted my iPad, now everything is working as expected.

I did a complete restore. As others have reported, I was not able to restore to the shipping version and boot - it went straight back to DFU. This is an iPad with cell data, they might have updated the firmware fort that.

I downloaded Beta 2 and restored. I was able to boot without much trouble.

But a straight install did not fix Slide Over or doing a complete Reset and erase of device data - that option was unresponsive.

So I am just restoring the backup of the configuration I had. It does not look like that was the issue.

LOL,

I just restarted my iPad Pro for about the fifth time and now Split View is working normally too.

Can you get Split View and change the ratio of each app, splitting them to 50/50 or 70/30 etc?

Because one thing I noticed when I had Safari open and pulled up the dock, then moved the Files app over Safari (not into Split View, but on the right side) when I couldn't move Files by putting my finger on the top and sliding left, all I had to do was change the orientation and I could then slide the Files app across the screen, and when I changed back to my original landscape view I could still move the Files app about the screen.

(I hope that makes sense)

I can get Split View to work from the Task Bar. A good start. The Slide Over view does not work in all its elements, even if Split View is invoked. You cannnot pull down and select other apps.

To clarify, if this occurs, slide up the dock, and drag an application on to the miniature window, and hold there for a few seconds until the app opens. Then drag the new app to the side. Hope that helps!
