BLE Peripherals streaming speeds are significantly slowed with new hardware (iPhone 17, iPad A16)

Hi, we have developed an application that streams data from two BLE peripherals at a rate of 14.5kbps per peripheral. Until now, our devices streamed in near real time with no lag on all Apple devices with Bluetooth 5.0 or greater. Since the release of the iPhone 17 series and the iPad A16, we have reports from users of the data being streamed at significantly lower rates than expected.

Any help here would be greatly appreciated as our customers are being affected by this change.

Do you have access to either of those devices to run some tests yourselves?

We would need some diagnostic logs to determine what might be the trigger on your accessory that triggers this issue.

If you can, please file a Bug Report on this

In your bug report we would need some diagnostics logs as well. Please go to https://developer.apple.com/bug-reporting/profiles-and-logs/ and follow the instructions for Bluetooth for iOS to install a logging profile on your device.

Then reproduce the issue, and follow the instructions at the above link to create a sysdiagnose.

And attach that to the bug report as well.

If you have separate sniffer logs that shows the interaction, also do include those.

We would also like to know the peripheral devices you are seeing this issue with. Make/Model and if you know, the BT chipset details (HW/FW versions and manufacturer) would be helpful to track this down.

Once done, please share the Feedback ID here, and @mention me in your response so we can take a look at this right away.
