Feedbacks stay “unread" forever

I have two feedbacks now where I’ve been requested additional info, and provided it, but the feedback still has an “unread” dot, and is still in the “Requests” folder. I’ve asked multiple times to clear this status in one of those feedbacks (FB14888965), but got no response.

Not the end of the world as long as the engineers are notified, but iirc the dot would disappear as soon as I replied.

Thanks for your post and thanks for your patience on this issue.

Unfortunately I can’t provide in the forums a status on particular bug nor provide you a timeline where the fix will be released.

This critical bug is being diligently addressed by the appropriate team. Upon a workaround or a fix, the team will promptly inform you. In the meantime have you also tested the tint on the new releases of Xcode including the ones in beta?

For more details on when you'll see updates to your report, please see What to expect after submission.

Hi!

I’m not asking about either feedback per se; I’m reporting/asking about what I think is a bug in Feedback Assistant(‘s backend).

In one case the engineers confirmed they received my debug data, yet the app is still yelling at me like I need to do something.

Perhaps you should file a Feedback report on Feedback Assistant.

@KayleeSC I've been having the same issue for over a year, at least.

Just today I got a reply to one of my bug reports. This time, instead of just clicking on the "Add More Information" button at the end of the report, I clicked on the "Reply to Apple Feedback" link at the bottom of the reply from Apple. After submitting the requested information, in this case confirming that the issue is now resolved, the report still had the purple dot next to it. But as soon as I closed the report (which was appropriate in this case), the purple dot disappeared and the feedback moved from the "Requests" folder back to my "Submitted" folder.

So yes, this is a bug in Feedback Assistant. You really should file a bug report on this.
