Thanks for your post, an HTTP error seems more like a network or firewall issue. Have you tried using the computer connected to another network?
The error “Failed to register bundle identifier” accompanied by messages such as “Access forbidden” or “You currently do not have access to this membership resource,” it is likely that there is an issue with your Apple Developer account or the permissions associated with it. However, in your post, you mentioned that you are an administrator for the account. Could you please log in to the account and verify that you are using the correct account?
- Verify Your Apple Developer Account:
- Ensure that your Apple Developer account is active. If you can login into the browser you are good.
- Check Your Membership Role:
- You said you are an admin. Make sure that your account has the appropriate role to register bundle identifiers. Typically, roles like "Admin" or "App Developer" are required. You can verify this under "People" in your Apple Developer account settings as you said you are an admin check you are using the correct account.
- Confirm Agency Membership:
- If you're part of an organization, confirm that you are a member of the correct team and that the team has an active Apple Developer Program membership. Normally the dropdown will show you all your teams.
- Log Out and Back In:
- Try logging out of Xcode and the Apple Developer portal, then log back in to refresh your session and access permissions.
- Select the Correct Team:
- When setting up your project in Xcode, make sure you have selected the correct team under the "Signing & Capabilities" tab. The team should correspond to the Apple Developer account you’re logged in with.
- Bundle Identifier Availability:
- Double-check that the bundle identifier you are trying to register is not already in use by another app within the same team.
- Network and Firewall:
- Ensure that your network connection is stable and that no firewall or proxy settings are blocking access to Apple’s servers. A http error could be cause of your internet settings in this case. HTTP 304 I believe you are getting back.
Going through these steps, you should be able to identify and fix the issue preventing you from registering your bundle identifier.
