I was looking at Energy in the Activity Monitor and I noticed that Notes in 10.11 says Requires High Performance GPU.

Is this supposed to happen or should I file a bug report?

No, it shouldn't happen. You can:


  1. Open Activity Monitor (press CMD+Space and then typing “activity”)
  2. Enter "notes" into the searchbar (top right).
  3. Select the Notes.app process
  4. Click the gear icon (toolbar) and select "Sample Process"
  5. Choose to save the sample.
  6. File a bug report (link at the very bottom of this screen), including the Sample.txt file
