Feedback won't sign in, beta.apple.com down

Hello all,

I just created my forum acct., downloaded beta 1 min ago, etc. etc., and the FEEDBACK MONITOR ITSELF is broken. this is SO META that I can't take it.

The beta.apple.com site is down.

Is there seriously no "well designed Apple-branded functionality that maintains Steve Jobs' standards" to notify beta users when beta error reporting functionality is down?

I am sitting here trying to help apple with improvements for the upcoming release and stymied in my efforts without explanation. Why no notification system for updates? Could it be because the servers hosting beta.apple.com are under attack? This seems to be an unplanned activity - or if not, are the developers and webmasters and beta support people unable to come to the realization that they could provide warning when removing their own feedback system from operation? Unclear where to log feedback when feedback system itself is down. However, I'd like to make a note that the feedback system itself could use some improvements.

Elemetary!

I am Just a testie person, Now I am not running into the same issue you are with the FeedBack App

But if it is now working correctly Resetting the SMC won't help for sure

so you can try resetting the NVRAM to clear the caches see if that helps

You can also try safe mode see if the issue happens there, if it does not then it was mostly likely a kernel

There would be no point to verifing the disk for this issue. You could also try creating a new account and testing the issue in a new account to narrow it down to either system wide or just an issue with your useer account on the mac.

Welcome to the beta assuming this is your first ever Beta judging by what your saying you must have gotten into the Beta without actual knowing what you were getting yourself into. But the OS your running is having the issue not Apple servers that are down. and just because the website is down does not mean there is an attack or everything Apple is broken. There is a number of reassons why it would be down inculdeing updates, bugs, outages, so lets not throw around theories since we do not know what the issue with the website is.

The Feedback progam on the Mac not working is likely due to an issue with the OS on the Mac. I would suggest try troubleshooting the Mac

Is it possible that the Apple servers running the Beta are down yes does it help to come on here and complian about something that is involeing the BETA TEST no and keyword here is BETA TEST. The point of the BETA TEST is to find and fix the issues that were not found in a ALPHA TEST. All software and hardware programs go through these issues.

So again lets be constructive here and actual provide helpful solutions and FeedBack or uninstall the BETA if going through these issue is too much to handle.

Good thinking thanks for help

Here's another issue possibly related: pip (for installing python stuff) doesn't work. I am using system python (2.7) which was installed by sudo easy_install pip

Wondering what kind of test suites there are for the OS?

Hello mike, I have unmarked your answer as correct. Rather than doubt my experience due to my inexperience you should have replicated. beta.apple.com IS DOWN RIGHT NOW

beta.apple.com <- try putting this in URL and check

Please note that I very much appreciate the guidance you provided in any case - only looking for correct answer!

As per the guidelines in the Release Notes you should use Apples Online Bug Reporting site to report any issues with MacOS 10.13 beta or IOS 11 beta's.

Feedback assistant is back up for me as well without a reset. However, thank you michaelfromnull for a good suggestion.

A bit late but the site (beta.apple.com) was down today from 5:13PM EST to 5:38PM EST when visiting to download a copy of the PB utility for a second go at 10.13 PB 17A291m.

Apple had posted the notice during that period: "We'll be back soon. We're busy updating the Apple Beta Software program website and will be back soon."
