com.apple.sbd runaway process

The com.apple.sbd process turns into a runaway train and consumes 8GB+ of my virtual memory and the system pretty much comes to a halt. When I force quit the process, everything returns to normal. The process will re-start itself after a period of time, so I just have to keep activity monitor running to keep it at bay.

Any thoughts?

The process com.apple.sbd is used to sync the iCloud Keychain. You might try turning iCloud off then back on to see if it is recreated.

If that does not work, and the issue keeps rearising even after a reboot, then turning off KeyChain in your iCloud preferences will stop it.

And file a PR at bugreport.apple.com - without that all your efforts are futile!
