I'm looking for some guidance from developers who may have experienced something similar.
I recently submitted a new app and initially received a rejection under Guideline 4.3(b) (Spam), with Apple stating that the app duplicated functionality found in an already saturated category.
After the rejection, I made updates and submitted a new build along with detailed review notes explaining how the app differs from other apps in same category.
The new submission has now been sitting in "Waiting for Review" for over a week, and there has been no communication from App Review.
I'm trying to understand whether this is normal for apps that were previously rejected under 4.3(b), or if it may indicate that the app has been escalated for additional review.
Any insights would be appreciated.
