I have a Canon MP610 that I was able to get working via adding it in CUPS, but I cannot scan.
Has anyone successfully been able to scanusing Image Capture or another app?

VueScan (3rd party app) is working for me, but there again, my HP LaserJet 200 is also scanning for me through normal channels since adding it via CUPS.
i was having issues with some drivers I had for my TPLink router (printer sharing) as the kext wasn't signed...
As I've got the Kernel Extension entitlement on my Developer ID, I signed the instigating kext and voila, it all worked again.
Also, another thing to note, is that the kext was originally a "Fat" binary i.e. it had 32 and 64 bit code in it. I stripped it with "ditto", signed and voila it worked.
Printing and Scanning support is much improved in Developer Beta 3. Delete the Canon MP610 from System Preferences > Printers & Scanners (if it's still there after updating) and then add it again via the + that wasn't working in beta 2.
