I am completely blocked from adding a bank account to my account, which is holding up my Paid Applications Agreement.
Summary When I try to add a bank account in App Store Connect, the flow fails the moment I select a Country/Region and click Next. Instead of the bank details form, I get a full page error:
"Something went wrong. Please try again."
There is a Refresh button, but refreshing just returns to the same error. The bank details form never appears, so I can never enter any bank information.
Steps to reproduce
- Sign in to App Store Connect as the Account Holder.
- Go to Business, then Agreements.
- Under the Paid Applications Agreement, click Add Bank Account (also tried the Add Bank Account link under Bank Accounts).
- On the bank account screen, select the Country/Region for the account.
- Click Next.
- The page immediately shows "Something went wrong. Please try again." No form loads.
Current account state
- Role: Account Holder.
- Paid Applications Agreement: status "Pending User Info". It is signed, and the only remaining item is the bank account.
- U.S. tax form (W-9): status Active.
- Free Applications Agreement: Active.
- Digital Services Act / EU trader info: Active.
What I have already tried
- Chrome and Safari, both latest.
- Incognito / private windows with cookies cleared.
- Signed out fully and back in.
- Different networks (home Wi-Fi and mobile hotspot), no VPN.
- Retried across several sessions over multiple hours.
The result is identical every time: the error appears right after selecting the country and clicking Next.
Impact Because the agreement cannot go Active without a bank account, my auto-renewable subscriptions cannot be sold, and they will not load even in sandbox for testing. This is blocking my in-app purchase testing and my App Store submission entirely, even though the rest of the app is ready.
Questions
- Is this a known server-side issue with the Add Bank Account flow after country selection, and is there a workaround?
- Is there anything specific about certain Country/Region selections that is known to trigger this?
- If this needs to be escalated, what is the fastest path? I have also contacted Developer Support but wanted to check here in case others have seen and solved it.
