App stuck "In Review" for 7 days after replying to a Guideline 2.1 information request

Hello,

our update has been "In Review" for 7 days without any reviewer activity or message, and I can't find a way to move it forward.

App: Recomp OS Apple ID: 6758265184 Version: 1.1.0 (build 107), iOS Submission ID: d15f9266-f4ac-40cd-b25d-38ce13b1f82b

Support case: 102987498817

Timeline (UTC):

  • Sep 29: submitted for review.
  • Sep 29, 23:22: message from App Review, Guideline 2.1 – Information Needed. The binary contains PassKit and the reviewer could not locate Apple Pay.
  • Sep 30, 05:48: we replied in App Store Connect with the exact path to the payment sheet and explained that the Apple Pay button only appears when a card is in Wallet. The submission went back to "In Review" at 05:49.
  • Oct 1, about 19:20: last sign-in of the review demo account on our backend. No sign-in since.
  • Oct 6: status case 102987498817 opened. Only the automatic acknowledgment so far.

Since Sep 30 there has been no new message in the submission, and the submission page offers no reply field, only "Cancel Submission". We have not cancelled or resubmitted, because we don't want to restart the review.

Questions:

  1. Is the submission still assigned to a reviewer, or did our reply not return it to the queue?
  2. Is there anything else you need from us to complete the review?

Our launch date of Oct 4 has already passed :( , so any update would help a lot.

Thank you.

Since the Apple Pay button only appears when Wallet has an eligible card, the reviewer may not have been able to reach the payment sheet even with your navigation steps.

I’d update the existing support case with the submission ID and ask App Review to confirm whether they opened the payment sheet, and, if not, what device, region, or Wallet setup they used. In the review notes, state the exact prerequisites for the button to appear and include a short recording of the flow. Also explain how the reviewer can inspect the rest of checkout if Apple Pay is unavailable on their device.

Apple Pay sandbox testing requires a supported device, sandbox account, test card, and supported region, so verify that your own review walkthrough matches the intended review environment. Since the submission is still “In Review,” I would keep it active while asking for clarification rather than cancel it and start another cycle.
