Our organization's Apple Developer Program membership expired around June 2026 (agreements ended Jul 20, 2026). The Account Holder renewed it on Oct 1, 2026 via the Apple Developer Program subscription in macOS Settings, using the correct Account Holder Apple ID. The payment appears in Purchase History.
Current state, one week later:
- developer.apple.com → Membership shows Renewal date: October 1, 2027 (so the renewal was applied)
- App Store Connect still shows the banner "Developer Program Membership Expired"
- Business → Agreements:
- Paid Apps Agreement: Mar 3, 2026 – Jul 20, 2026 — Expired
- Free Apps Agreement: Sep 30, 2026 – Jul 20, 2026 — Expired (end date is before the start date)
- No "Review" / "Agree to Terms" option appears in App Store Connect or on developer.apple.com
- Our apps show "Pending Agreement" and are still removed from the App Store
- Uploading a build from Xcode fails with: 403 FORBIDDEN_ERROR.CONTRACT_NOT_VALID — "You do not have required contracts to perform an operation" Error ID: a7459b7e-cf09-4224-9727-0c5d92dc8b7d
What we've tried:
- Signed out and back in to App Store Connect and Xcode
- Checked every agreement and banner for a pending acceptance (none)
- Contacted Developer Support by email several days ago (no response yet)
It looks like the renewal after the lapse updated the membership but never reissued the agreements. Has anyone run into this after renewing a lapsed membership? Is there a way to trigger the agreement reissue ourselves, or does it need Apple to fix it manually? Any guidance from Apple staff would be appreciated, since our apps have been off the store for months.
