First app waiting 7 days after a screenshots-only resubmission (expedite accepted)

Hello, We’re a small team waiting to launch our first app, and we’d be grateful if someone from App Review could check on our submission.

App: WakeForReal: Loud Alarm Clock

Apple ID: 6815709592

Current submission ID: 470a3edf-a7ab-465f-be2b-70ccefcf5c13 (version 1.0, build 6, plus two auto-renewable subscriptions)

Timeline

  1. 29 Sep: First submitted.
  2. 30 Sep: Received the Guideline 2.1 “Information Needed” request for new developer accounts. We replied the same morning with all the requested details and a screen recording on a physical device, and resubmitted.
  3. 8 Oct: Reviewed. The only issue raised was Guideline 2.3.3 (screenshots did not show the app in use).
  4. 8 Oct (same evening): We replaced all screenshots with captures of the app in use and resubmitted. The binary is unchanged. The version was in “Ready for Review”, where screenshots can’t be edited, so we had to cancel the old submission and create a new one.
  5. 8 Oct and 13 Oct: Requested an expedited review twice. Both requests were confirmed: “We’ll expedite review for WakeForReal: Loud Alarm Clock.”
  6. 15 Oct (today): Still “Waiting for Review”: 7 days after resubmitting and 16 days after our first submission.

We understand review volumes are high right now, and we’re not asking for special treatment but we do expect better accountability and service from Apple especially adhering to your promised timelines and respecting the expedited review track. If the expedited track also cannot ensure a review is done in more than a week, it breaks the trust.

Please check the submission on priority and let us know if any further information is required from us to complete the review quickly.

Thank you!

We are feeling a similar pain. Can't offer any advice, but just want to share some support. 😔
