MacBook Pro apps open unexpectedly after closing lid

This occurred after I had closed all apps before closing the lid.
I received answer to this on apple regular support but was told that my post had been removed from the regular support service and the question had been moved here because it involved beta software. I do not recall agreeing to be a part of any beta software participation. I have been having issues with my computer doing weird things which I had communicated to the regular support group (icons for apps popping up on the desktop.... and some were banking related - not necessarily the app icon itself, but one of the files that if clicked would open the banking app) . Does anyone know what is going on and where this problem is coming from. What is going on? I do test software for 1 developer, but that developer has nothing to do with what is happening,.
