How much does it cost to store App on App Store?

Hey everyone! I havea rookie question... but a question nontheless...

I'm looking into having an app created for my company, the developer came back to me with a quote and the following line

"I received notification that among the many changes Apple is doing, there has been a drastic increase in my cost for creating and storing apps on the Apple Store ($10 cost is now $495!!)

is anyone aware of any "drastic" increase? 😮 Or is this BS? 😠

I was in sales before and to me this is coming across as a selling tactic But maaaaybe I'm wrong and prices ARE changing?

See the 'Programs' link above for current pricing, which is for an account that allows access to the tools and store for no additional fees beyond a 70/30 revenue split.

And find a real developer.

Membership in the developer program is $100 a year and they take 30% of sales. For every app or in app purchase you sell on the App Store, you get to keep 70%. Sounds like someone is trying to scam you.
