Users cannot leave a rating

We have tried to rate our app on numerous iOS devices - The App store asks for a nickname and nothing happens/Does not acknowledge the rating has gone through.


This is taking a toll on our ratings and downloads. Can anyone help us or put us in contact with Apple directly? I have looked through all the pages on itunes connect, and as expected Apple are almost impossible to contact directly!


Steps:


Try to rate the app and leave a comment. Asks for a nickname to log in. Try to click 'Send' but nothing happens. No loader icon and rating doesn't appear to save. No pop up as usual saying 'Sent. Thanks for your feedback'.


When I log in the itunes connect I can see 2 comments from others who received the same problem (Meaning that some reviews are going through). However I cannot see the majority of the reviews I have tried to leave, and the two reviews I can see in itunes connect are not showing in the app store reviews. On itunes connect we have 41 reviews and an average rating of 4, but on the app store we only have 37 reviews and an average rating of 3.5.


Can anyone help?

I won't help saying that but face the same issue with our app: people can't let a review.
I tried to contact the Apple Appstore support on Twitter, but they send me here :/

Did you succeeded to find a solution or an explanation ?

I am having a similar issue. I have confirmed with over 10 users via facebook. All have rated my app. Only 4 of those 10 show up. Furthermore, I have had friends and fmaily buy the app, then stood there and watched them rate it. It appears to save, but when you back out of the app store and go back in, the rating is not there. When I check in itunes connect, those ratings also do not show.


Unique pieces that may or may not contribute to the problem.

I have an unreleased version of my app setting in a ready to submit for review status. ( could apple have some bad code that is applying ratings to a future pending version? )



I am also having an issue where many paid users are getting a message that says they must first buy or download the app before they can leave a review. a different issue, but maybe related.

For one thing, it can take up to 24 hours for a review to show up on the App Store, so closing the App Store app and opening it again will not cause a newly entered review to appear.


Also, Apple appears to screen some reviews before allowing them to be posted. For example, they may become suspicious of multiple reviews posted from the same IP address over a short period of time (e.g., if you were all at a restaurant and posted reviews, they would all appear to originate from the restaurant's network-facing IP address). But nobody knows for sure.

From what I've heard this has something to do with the users' nicknames on their Apple ID. I'm unsure just exactly how they can edit the nickname, but I remember one instance where the user entered a nickname here (Dev Forum) and then issue was resolved. Why not give that a try? Most users probably never visited here, soon as they log in here, they'll be asked to enter a nickname. Have the user enter an unique nickname, fingers crossed.
