TTS Stuttering & Noise

When using Apple’s native TTS API on an iPhone or iPad—specifically while connected to Bluetooth earphones or headsets—users are experiencing audio noise or intermittent gaps in speech, causing parts of sentences to drop out during playback.

There were no reports or inquiries regarding such issues up through iOS/iPadOS 26.

Since the release of iOS/iPadOS 27, however, there has been a significant increase in reports and inquiries about this problem.

If you happen to know the cause of this issue or have any suggestions for a fix, please leave a reply.

  • The issue persists even after removing the AirPods or headset from the device and reconnecting them.

  • The issue persists even after rebooting the device.

  • The issue occurs even on the latest versions, from iOS/iPadOS 27 through 27.2.
