FileVault Error

Currently running MacOS High Sierra Beta 9 on early 2015 Macbook Pro. File System is APFS, and I am unable to enable FileVault on my disk. I receive the following error.

"Authentication server refused operation because the current credentials are not authorized for the requested operation."

I'm logged on with an admin account, aside from the guest, its the only account. I have not been able to enable File Vault at all, the most recent time I recall trying was on Beta 7 I think.

Is there a work around for this?

Did you happen to transfer your data from another mac during the 10.13 beta ?

Your account may not have a secure token. Checkout the sysadminctl command, specifically the -secureTokenOn argument.

I just installed a fresh copy of High Sierra, final GM seed on my 2016 mbp and setup a brand new APFS file system and am not able to enable FileVault either. I get the message: "Authentication server refused operation because the current credentials are not authorized for the requested operation".

I am logged into my AD account for my office so I'm not sure if there is a new bug in High Sierra that prevents you from enabling FileVault when using your AD account (which has been granted admin rights)

As macOS 10.13 HS is now public, user-centric (non-beta) queries/comments such as this are perhaps best put to Apple's public community support forums, run by AppleCare, and/or Apple's twitter support account, vs. risking off-topic here in the DevForums, thanks and good luck.

From this link: https://discussions.apple.com/community/mac_os/high_sierra

"Announcement: macOS High Sierra is now available! If you have a question or knowledge to share with the community, we want to hear from you.”

>I'm not sure if there is a new bug

Users can feedback via http://www.apple.com/feedback/- Individuals using betas are free to use the Feedback Assistant; devs can use the 'Report Bugs' link, below right.

Interesting. Looks like we have something in common. I'm also using a Mobile account but binded to Apple Open Directory instead of AD.

I have the same issue. Gonna submit a bugreport now that it is more apparent what is the root cause behind it.

Thx
