App rejected The seller and company names associated with your app do not reflect the name

Hi!

Our company named Procesos y Tecnologia recently developed an app called Zedici Bank, apple developer account was bought and registered by Alvaro Montoya Franco (owner of the company) is the first time we are trying to publish an app in the app store however three times that we sent the app for reviewing, it was rejected. We managed to solve two of them but the last rejection point was:

PLA 1.2

The seller and company names associated with your app do not reflect the name “Zedici Bank” in the app or its metadata, as required by section 1.2 of the Apple Developer Program License Agreement.

Next Steps

Your app must be published under a seller name and company name that reflects the Zedici Bank name. If you have developed this app on behalf of a client, please advise your client to add you to the development team of their Apple Developer account.

Once created, you cannot change your seller name or company name in iTunes Connect. For assistance with changing your company name or seller name, you will need to contact iTunes Connect through the Contact Us page. Select Getting Started from the first dropdown menu, then select General iTunes Connect Inquiry to contact the appropriate iTunes Connect team.

According to this I would like to ask your help to solve this, considering that Zedici Bank is developed and owned by Procesos y Tecnologia and it was not developed on behalf of somebody, information about app in iTunnes connect we filled up by using copyright: 2017 Alvaro Montoya Franco and general information of app to procesos y tecnologia. What could we be wrong about? Thanks!

Simply wandering!

A possible way to appease Apple rules & regulations and still achieve the objective of getting a client's app published when registered as an individual.

What if the client had to issue a declaration (duly notarised by a registered Notary Public or lawyer) to state that they have requested and approved the individual to build and develop the app at their request?

In addition, the copyright box could (if preferred by Apple) be filled with the client's deatils not the indiviual.

Would this be acceptable to the Apple Review Board?

Hi!,

Maybe I was not clear. The app is not developed in behalf of a client, app is owned by Procesos y tecnologia and Alvaro Montoya is the owner of the company, so I guess this could be considered as an individual, ¿Am I wrong?

Hello alvaromf,

It sounds like your company has an individual developer account and is trying to use a business name. You need a business account, preferably in the name of "Zedici Bank". Otherwise, what would stop me from releasing an app called "Zedici Bank"?
