My iPhone 6 UDID is being seen as an iPod Touch on registered test device list. How can I fix it? - The UDID was entered correctly (copied from iTunes and double checked).
iPhone 6 UDID seen as iPod Touch on device list
Hello,
my iPhone 6 UDID is also an ID showed like iPod Touch.
I cannot load Profile for IOS9, the answer is "Not an IOS device"
Then I have looked into registered UDID, and then I have seen, thats an iPod Toucht ?!?
The UDID number ist correct :-(
Can everybody help ?
Thanks
I am also experiencing this bug. Also the device in question is having issues installing an Ad Hoc build. Is this the cause?!?!
Got the same problem with a small fleet of Ipad. More than 10 devices are seen as Ipod Touch instead of iPad Air 2.
The AdHoc pre-release version of the app i was developping cannot be installed by a significant part of my clients.
Quite annoying.
I reported the problem to Apple via https://developer.apple.com/contact/submit.php
I'm waiting for a response.
We have the same problem with one of our staff's iPhone 6 purchased in Portland Apple Store. Completely defeated the purpose of the phone purchase, because he cannot install the test app. We submitted a support question on this and if not resolved plan to request that the phone be replaced.
Same here
Did you get a response from Apple? We are currently seeing this issue on a number of iPhone 6 devices.
Hi guys, we have the same problem with the last iPhones 6 that we added in the Member Center, did you have any answer?
Same Problem
Regstered 5 and 6 Plus
Both show as iPod Touch
App will not install
we have Same problem with 4 devices and the App don't work.
I have the same problem.
It is because we entered the UDID with upper case letters!
This is so f**king dumb!
And the dumber thing is that we cannot fix this in any way!
We cannot change the UDID.
We cannot add another one with lower case. It will say that it is duplicated.
If you disable the device first and then add, it will re-enable the one you disabled and KEEP THE DAM*N UPPER CASE LETTERS!
W*T*F, this is the most stupid bug I ever encountered.
I had the same problem with IPhone 7.
I got the device ID from the UDID Finder app, which had the format "FFFFFFFF...................", and the device added as IPOD Touch.
It helped taking the "Identifier" from Xcode->Windows->Devices. Completely different identifier in lower case.
