deleting music off phone

Help here....

Ive had this issue w/ ios 9 beta 2 and now 3.....

I can easily download songs to my phone to play at work....problem is, I can not remove them on my device, using general, usage...I see that I have 3.3 gigs of music on my phone, but when I select that, it causes the Settings area to crash, ultimately, I can not remove the songs off my phone. Thru iTunes, I see all the music that is on my phone, I can select all, and chose to delete, and nothing....

Im afraid to keep adding music especially if I can not delete the songs....this wasnt the case in Beta 1

Sounds like some unexpected behavior going on there. Might seem like the worst thing in the world, but can be easily fixed. Given the issue you are having there, I would suggest transferring any purchases that are on the device alone back to iTunes and then restoring the iPhone back to factory (but with iOS 9b3 installed).

EDIT:

Also when setting the iPhone back up, avoid restoring any backups and ensure that you're using manual syncing! This is important; otherwise iTunes and iOS will sync based on one library and when testing betas, you don't want to hit a random bug.

I have a general idea what youre saying, but step by step would help a bit.....mostly restoring phone w/ fresh copy of ios 9 b3

To restore:

- Connect iPhone to your Mac

- Click File>Devices>Transfer purchases from "This iPhone Name"

- turn off Find my iPhone if it is active (iCloud settings on device itself)

- Hold option down on the keyboard and click 'Restore iPhone' under Summary in iTunes

- Choose the appropriate IPSW and follow the prompts

Nope, I thought wrong. I can delete songs individually, but what a PITA. In settings, when I select usage>music the setting screen just crashes. I can't be the only one here with this issue. Suggestions?

Same issue here, so you're not the only one. I am left with 3 gigs of songs, that stay, whatever I do. The same crash happens on the usage>music page.

Ok. Good knowing there's a glitch going and that glitch wasn't me.
