I have updated my iPhone 6 to iOS9 b3, and also tried to update my watch... with no success at all. Then I unpaired the watch and restored to default settings, and since then, every time I try to pair and set my Apple Watch, just when it asks me for my password (for iCloud and messages) and I type it in, it gives me an error "cant connect to the server" (on Apple watch App). I've already tried a hard reset, and restored network settings too. It happens again and again, so I can't configure my Apple watch. Seems like If each new beta version had more new problems instead of solving them... At least with Apple Watch app. Any hint on this? Thank you.
Cant pair apple watch
Since you can skip iCloud password, but not the messages one, I disabled messages on the iphone and then tried with a new set up. It worked, but it's a shame to have these kind of basic problems in third beta.
Some people have had issues with iMessage after doing this so as an alternative - I downgraded to B2 paired watch then did OTA upgrade to B3 which worked perfectly
I have the same issue!
I did a backup recover... to B2.. turned off iMessage on iphone.. managed to pair with Apple Watch... by skipping the iCloud passward.. then when I enter apple-ID and password in the iPhone Apple Watch app, it says the same as above, can't connect to server... Also when checking for Apple Watch WatchOS update, it states that I have the most uptodate OS, which is not the case. It is running WatchOS Beta 2.
How the solve this? Any ideas?
From the iOS 9 Release Notes:
"Watch App - Known Issues
Pairing iOS 9 beta 3 with watchOS 2 beta 1 or 2 requires you to sign out of your AppleID in Messages prior to pairing and to skip iCloud sign-in during pairing. Pairing with watchOS 2 beta 3 and WatchOS 1 is not impacted."
So you need to turn off iMessage on iphone before pairing the Watch. Pair Watch, accept terms, hit skip on signing into icloud account. Now you can pair and sync the watch. After it's all set back up correctly you can turn back on iMessage on iphone, then go into Watch ap and you can sign into the icloud account without any issues.
As you have restored your watch you probably dont have the config profile installed anymore - Navigate to SDK WatchOS and re-install config profile on watch once complete do the check for update and you should see WatchOSB3 available to install
I had success with first turning off iMessage on my iPhone and then skipping the iCloud sign in when pairing the Apple Watch.
I was then able to pair.
(Also during the pairing process, if you are stuck like chuck, firm press on the apple watch to reset it to original stasis)
After I paired and about 8 hours I was able to sign in and then enable iMessage.
Remember kids, this IS A BETA and it may take more than one attempt!😝
