Serious issues on battery draining on my iphone 7 plus have not experienced anything like this before. When will the new update be there to sort it out?

Hi, if you have assistive touch on, please turn it off and your battery life will be back to normal. In this beta Apple has add new functionality to assistive touch, which probably is not fully ready.
