Beta 3: Apps open with a gap at the top then resize

When opening an app from the home screen all apps momentarily show a gap in the status bar area above the top of the app and then the app resizes (or shifts up) to fill the screen. Is anyone else seeing this? The status bar info is displayed in the Siri overlay to the left of the home screen as well, but I don't remember this being visible in beta 2.

Yes. The same here. And the homescreen seems off a bit too. As if there is too much space above the upper row of icons.

BTW, the homescreenrotation isn't reflecting the actual orientation anymore (bug filed).

Yeah I also noticed it to. However it seems to only happen when I launch an app after it's been force quit. Also my home screen is off as mentioned above. I'm on an iPhone 5S for reference.

Yeah, the more I looked at it I realized the homescreen view (or layer) that the app icons are in is shifted down by the height of the status bar. This includes the home screen page indicator as well. Also, I am now having trouble getting the control center to pull up from the bottom of the screen, and I'm wondering if the touch layer for that control has been shifted down slightly as well and is now essentially out of reach below the bottom of the screen.

I was going to say it's happening for me even with apps I didn't force quit, but now I am remembering I did go through the multitasking view and close everything when I started to see the issue, so maybe that is relevant :) Regardless it has persisted now even if I don't force quit the app. I'm running on iPhone 6.

The only way I've managed to work around this on my 6 Plus is by rotating to landscape and then rebooting (while in landscape). The status bar still has a delay to it but it's fixed the spacing issue.

I was able to resolve this on my 6 by opening an app in landscape (I used Mail) and then forcing a reboot by holding down the Power and Home buttons.

I had this same issue after doing the OTA update. Did a full restore and it fixed it. An issue with the OTA?

I tried this a couple times with Mail, Safari, and Calendar in landscape mode but to no avail. Screen is still shifted down on restart.

I updated OTA and then via iTunes and had this issue both times. It only seemed to happen after restoring from a backup. Using your method fixed my issue. Thanks!

And it's broken again. It reverted back to the same as before after a reboot. The landscape reboot trick isn't helping this time. This is too much of a distraction and a deal breaker. Back to 8.4 I go. I'm quite surprised Apple released this into public beta with so many issues. IMO, that release was way too early.

I fixed this by "Reset All Settings".

My home screen icons are now positioned correctly from the top of the screen and launching apps no longer leave a gap in the status bar.

I upgraded to beta 3 from beta 2 using OTA on iPhone 6.

Can anyone post screenshots of this?
