Weirdly long "In Review" time?

Hi all,

I recently made and submitted my first app to the App Store. It's pretty simple, but helpful to my community, so a lot of people are counting on its imminent release.

Anyway, I didn't receive a response for around 4 days, so I emailed Apple support and they said the review was going fine. However, 6-7 days past the time I submitted my app, I still hadn't received a response. The Apple FAQs say 90% of apps are approved by 48 hours, and I've seen a lot of comments around the Internet about how people's apps were accepted after 16 hours, 24 hours, etc., so I started to get worried.

In the time my app's been In Review, I got bored and added more features, so I took down the app and re-submitted it. I'm hoping this time the review process won't be so long, but I'm curious if anyone else has had to wait this long.

What are some factors might cause a super long In Review process?

Thanks!

I think if you check the iTunes Connect FAQs on rejections, you'll get a general idea of the things that can slow a review. Otherwise, without knowing that app's particulars, it's hard to even speculate why.

Last time I had to wait for weeks, they just kept telling me it was in process. I ended up doing a self-reject, and the resubmit went thru the next day.

Hi bro, what happened after you resubmitted it?

Same problem. My app always gets stuck "in review".I tried waiting over 2-3 days but no good... I tried self-rejecting and resubmitting but the problem persists. Does anyone have any solutions?

Note: My update includes in-app purchases that weren't on the previous update so I understand that might cause longer "in review" time than usual but I just don't know why it gets stuck.

unfortunately I have the same problem as you, stuck in "in review" way to long now,
I have also tried to mail apple but they are not answering any mails. i have put lot's of money developmenting the app and i have also bought commerical for the app which makes it extra frustrating.
I do not understand why apple does not respond to support cases etc, I am also wondering what do we get for value with the development license, its not for reviews atleast?
