I recently reset the reviews of my app. The new version has already received reviews, but App Store shows the oldest reviews first. Some of the reviews are over nine years old!
The current sorting feels pretty unfair to the developer, but also next to useless for potential customers. Surely it would be better to show the newest reviews first?
Anybody else seeing this? Will the issue resolve over time or is there anything I can do to fix it?

The best you can do is submit feedback using Apple's Bug Reporter about it. There isn't a setting for developers or even customers to change how reviews are sorted.
To others who encounter this issue: App Store started showing the reviews of the latest version with a 24 hour delay.
It still doesn't make sense to sort the reviews by oldest first, but at least the issue isn't as serious as it initially seemed.
