I have been working for a new company the past 6 months, building a new mobile version of their app. When I went to submit it to apple, I realized they had a previous version, 1.0.2 which had problems being submitted. It would not let me create a new version, probably because the current submission (from 2 years ago) had problems. We had a successful app submission of 1.0, but 1.0.2 had problems. I couldn't find a way to fix this or delete that submission. Does anyone have any advice? I don't really want to delete the app, just submit a new version.
Submitting a new version when a current version has problems
Your internal versioning scheme, vs. project build settings versioning, vs. store versioning... the process has changed in the last 2 years, I think.
Stick w/v1.0.2 for the store number (no choice at this point, actually), then upload another/new build to the queue. iTunes Connect will let you choose from the queued build(s) when you're ready to have one reviewed for the store. Just be sure the version # in project settings syncs with the store version.
