Open With dialog seems Broken

I don't know if there was a problem with the previous versions of 10.11 but with 10.11 Beta (15A216g) if I right click on a file on my desktop and choose "Open With" the dialog box shows an empty list.

Can someone check if this is working or not on their install? Just right click on a file: .png, .txt etc, choose "Open With" from the menu that opens, select "Other" , then choose "All Applications" in the Enable: drop down menu and see if they get a list of Applications.

I'm trying to see if my install is okay and this is just a bug.

Oh nuts. I was afraid of that. Sounds like I have to reinstall b1-b3 etc. blah.

Not sure what's going on. I decided to do a clean install on an external drive. When I first installed it "Open With" was working. Did the first update which included the Recovery update etc. "Open With" no longer worked. I guess I'll file a bug report.

But now the Open With dialog is very slow. And while it is opening, a process called " l s d " causes 100% cpu usage.
