Adobe After Effect CC 2017 and 2018 Crash with newest beta

Hey!

Is anyone experiencing crash at start up of After Effects?

At launch a window appears:

After Effects can't continue: unexpected failure during startup

And in the console I have this:

*** Assertion failure in -[NSMenu itemAtIndex:], /BuildRoot/Library/Caches/com.apple.xbs/Sources/AppKit/AppKit-1561.10.101/Menus.subproj/NSMenu.m:967

I tried uninstalling, reinstalling, changing user, installing an older version (2017), nothing works it just crashes with the same messages.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Pyer

No issues at all.

AE v 15.0.0 (build 180)

10.13.1 Beta (17B45a)

I would suggest complete removal of all cache files if you haven't tried that already.

(of course back these up first incase something else gets affected.)

~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Common/PTX/

~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Common/Team Projects Cache/

~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Common/Media Cache Files/

~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Common/Media Cache/

~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Common/Essential Graphics/

Then MAYBE these:

~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/OOBE/opm.db

~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/OOBE/ANEData.db

I've had recent odd issues when updating CC, it seemed like the permissions were wrong and the updater kept choking, I had to manually remove the dirs and files before the updaters would work.

Good luck with this.

Works here (2018 version). Beta 5 is now out so you could give that a shot, but I think it's something else...
