Startup Manager identifies your Time Machine backup as ”EFI Boot

Hello all, in this Support article https://support.apple.com/en-in/HT202796, there is a statement as follows:

"If your Mac is using OS X Lion v10.7.3 or later, you can also use this method to start up from your Time Machine backup disk. Startup Manager identifies your Time Machine backup as ”EFI Boot.”

I have Time Capsule and also have an portable USB HDD for TM backups. However, when I hold down Option key during startup, the TC drive doesn't show up as one of the options to choose from per the above article, though the portable HDD does appear. Any idea why?

(The TC is connected via wifi and ethernet cable, though is in fact next to the MBP)
