It's worth pointing out that for existing Search Ads users who've already gotten and burned through their initial $100 USD Search Ads credit they got when they signed up, that signing up for (or just starting to use) Search Ads Basic seems to credit your account with an additional $100 credit. I'd assumed the signup credit was only for new users to Search Ads in general, and hence didn't think it applied to me, but I'm seeing the extra credit appearing in my account today.
This is nice as it makes experimenting with Search Ads Basic totally 'no risk'. I also like the new model of only paying for installs and being able to set the maximum price paid for an install, as this means you can ensure any installs you get are profitable - unlike trying to balance bid prices and CPA in the traditional Search Ads Advanced (as it is now known). Now to see if it works in practice!
